Hi, I found this group when I was searching meetup for beginner open-water swim groups and it sounds great, but I was wondering if this group is now defunct since the organizer said he was leaving for college?

If so, i'd be happy to organize future events if I can get enough people to commit!

I have a busy schedule, but I'd be able to commit to organizing outings at least once a month. My main interests are anything outdoors and local to public transit for those that don't have cars or organizing carpools or group bike rides to various destinations. I'm open to advice, ideas etc. I would probably make this a yahoo group so we won't need to pay the meetup fees. What do people think?

Ideas:

Potlucks/Barbeques in the various Bay Area Parks
Swimming at Anza Lake, Aquatic Park, Tilden etc
Hiking
Dancing/Skating/Frisbee in GG Park
Trail Runs
Alcatraz and Angel Island Trips
Beach outings
Creative Circles: music jam sessions/craft circles/art museum outings, etc.
