Hello everyone; this is me cheating Meetup.com registration until this group gets enough support to fund a legit account.
I saw a lot of Bay Area folk interested in a group of this ilk, so I wanted to get something together before I must return to college (at the end of summer). I myself have dabbled in gymnastics, parkour, and freerunning, but will need others, with much deeper knowledge in these areas, to make this group possible.
I propose our first meeting be this Sunday (July 6th '08) at 12:45pm in the Chipotle of 1815 S. Bascom Ave., Campbell, CA. This Chipotle is just south of Bascom & Hamilton, on the West side.
This meeting will be a meet & greet in which we can discuss the logistics of future events. Afterwards, we can move to Campbell Park to play/teach/learn (if so desired).
I noticed that not everyone is near this location, so the message board will be divided up into regions. Hopefully initial events will bring members all over the Bay Area until substantial, regional groups are formed.
Let the games begin!

I'd like to make the meeting. However, I have a prior commitment to go motorcycle riding. Keep me in the loop on developments. I've been waiting for one of these for some time.

P.S. I studied Capoeira for about 2 years a while ago. Over the past couple of years, I simply screw around by myself where ever I find a grassy field. My skills haven't progressed very much as a result, but I have remained limber.

I think that this meeting is going to be small (very likely due to 4th of July weekend activities), but I will be there and enthusiastic!
Just FYI, I have plans at 4:30, but from 12:45 to 4:15 I'm yours. Also, I'll bring a 'Bay Area Vim' sign.
